This is a screen shot of the Full Screen view of our Music and Concert Posters page, taken just a few minutes ago. As you can see, a whole lot of people are trying to sell the same Methane Studios poster advertising a Dave Matthews Band show in Charlottesville, Virginia. It was the last stop of the band’s fall tour.
Methane does a lot of posters for Matthews, but they are usually not quite as inspired or charming as this one—I love the idea that the band is heading back to its tree fort now that the tour is over. But what’s got the poster community talking about this limited edition (650) screen print is that the word Charlottesville, which is where the band started, has an extra “t” in it. These posters were snapped up at the venue for $40 each; they have been selling for upwards of $450 on eBay.
