About Vintage Board Games

Board games have been played throughout history, with backgammon dating as far back as 3000 BC, and chess from around the the year 700. Vintage board games from the 1920s-1940s with bakelite pieces are sought after by collectors (depending on condition), as are early versions of popular board games like Monopoly (patented 1935) and Strat-O-Matic baseball (1961), though values are often low because so many copies were produced.
