Giuseppe Paolo 'Joe' DiMaggio was born in Martinez, CA in 1914, and starting from humble beginnings in San Francisco became one of America's best-loved baseball players. Considered one of the greatest baserunners of all time, he's also known for his short and tumultuous marriage to Marilyn Monroe. DiMaggio's name and image adorn everything from statuettes to postcards, with merchandise still being made today.
Babe Ruth towers above the rest in the world of baseball collectibles, but the memorabilia associated with other well known players also has wide appeal (e.g. DiMaggio, Williams, Mantle, Mays, Aaron, Cobb, etc.).
