What are you looking for?
Christmas figurines representing yuletide figures (Santa, angels, animals, etc.) have long been popular. The first mass-produced figurines were German celluloid ornaments, later also made in the U.S. and Japan. But inflammable celluloid gave way in the 1930s to ceramics (often hand painted), glass, and plastics. More recently, several makers (e.g. Hummel, Royal Doulton and Royal Copenhagen) have produced collectible limited editions.
Christmas antiques and collectibles abound, ranging from hand-crafted folk items to modern limited-edition works. Whether thematic (Santa, nutcrackers, reindeer, elves) or functional (trees, ornaments, lights, bells, records), they usually evoke the warmth and cheer of holidays celebrated the old-fashioned way.
