The first ice-cooled Coca-Cola vending machine, capacity 12 bottles, was introduced in 1910. But it wasn’t until 1930 and the advent of electric machines produced by Glascock Bros. Mfg. that the devices became practical, and even so people were slow to get comfortable with them. The introduction of dry refridgeration after WW2 allowed taller machines, sparking a soda machine boom in the 1950s.
