About Vintage Fender Stratocasters

Introduced in 1954, the Fender Stratocaster soon became the signature instrument of the rock and surf sound of the late 50's and early 60's. Early Strats are valued for their solid neck construction, signature twangy sound, and well-aligned hardware. After Leo Fender sold the company to CBS in 1965, however, the value of Stratocasters dropped, as did their quality.

About Vintage Guitars

Baby boomers have driven the popularity (and prices) of guitar collecting recently. Famous names like Martin, Fender and Gibson get alot of attention, but there’s a wide range of highly collectible (and still playable) guitars on the market. Collectors tend to value acoustic guitars based on their craftsmanship and sound quality, and electric guitars based on their rarity.
