About Vintage Oil Cans

The earliest oil cans date back to the 1880's, but finding even 20th century cans in good condition is difficult, because most were simply thrown out after use. Collectors tend to value brightly colored cans, cans with mascots, cans from smaller oil companies, and of course, cans that are still full.
