 t offers the first comprehensive examination of the life and work of the r
 ecognized patriarch of the American Arts and Crafts movement\, Gustav Stic
 kley.  The exhibition and accompanying catalogue explores Stickley as a bu
 siness leader and design proselytizer\, whose body of work included furnis
 hings\, architectural and interior designs\, and related imagery that beca
 me synonymous with the movement\, which was at its height between approxim
 ately 1880 and 1910.  This exhibition includes more than 100 works produce
 d by Stickleyâ€™s designers and workshops: furniture\, metalwork and lamps
 \, textiles\, and numerous publications and letters\, drawings\, and relat
 ed designs.  Also featured in the exhibition is a re-creation of Stickleyâ
 €™s seminal model dining room from his 1903 Syracuse Arts and Crafts exhib
 ition.
