Victory rings have been part of the Super Bowl since the first matchup in 1967, and part of football as a sport for longer than that. The most valuable rings are Super Bowl rings, but since they were given only to players and staff, most of the available rings are either salesmen's samples, or the few rare players' rings that made it onto the market.
Other football rings include league or division championship rings, and college rings. Most football rings are gold or silver, so they have some intrinsic value even before player and team affiliations are factored in.
