This beautifully-designed site from the California Bicycle Museum features a timeline of bike history from 1817 through 2000, and includes images and information on different models, from the first bike, the draisine, to the modern Cervélo R3. It also features more specific items, such as the Morton Display Frame from the 1930s. Great history and visuals - this is a ride worth going on.
