Patrick Ewing's great guide to first edition books by Edgar Rice Burroughs is filled with photos and detailed descriptions to help aspiring collectors identify first editions and the four types of dust jackets used on Burroughs books. The Tarzan series is covered, of course, as are the Mars and Venus series. For new collectors, the site's FEAST (First Edition Auction Sales Tracking) Report, which consolidates auction sales between 2003 and 2005, may also be useful. Another bonus is a section showing variations of Burroughs' signature over the years, as compiled by Eddie Gilbert, his brother-in-law.
