Jewel History
Since March of 2007, readers of Lori Ettlinger Gross’s JewelHistory blog have been treated to her weekly (sometimes daily) ruminations about fine jewelry—from reviews of exhibitions to previews of big-ticket auctions. Designer names like Van Cleef & Arpels, Tiffany & Co., and Bulgari pepper her posts, which range from the purely appreciative (a short essay on the virtues of copper) to the topical (a provocative piece in which Gross wonders aloud at the quality of jewelry “designed” by the likes of Angeline Jolie and Sharon Stone).
