The Charleton Line

Michael and Lori Palmer's site dedicated to the hand painted decorations of Abels, Wasserberg and Company, known as The Charleton Line. During their heyday in the 1940s and 50s, AWC artists decorated glass and porcelain pieces from such well known companies as Fenton, Heisey, Cambridge, Duncan and Miller, Fostoria, Consolidated, and Westmoreland. Styles included Victorian, chinoiserie, naturalistic, abstract, and Art Moderne. This site provides numerous examples of these works, as well as detailed historical information on AWC.
