As with most Eames-influenced designs, lamps of this period are far simpler than their predecessors. Long, narrow stems and metal (mainly chrome) were popular, as were wavy stems and lamp shades made of teak.
Also during this period, the goose neck lamp became fashionable, so swiveling and articulated necks are common, as are lamps with multiple bulbs which can be pointed in different directions. Many manufacturers made these modern Eames-style lamps, so do your homework before purchasing.
