I had been looking for a vintage watch for quite a while. This one happens to be made the same year I was- 1957. The watch has been restored inside and out unlike myself. It holds the highly regarded Longines 30L movement. 56 years old and keeping time within 10 seconds a day.

Wonderful. Did you get a shot of the movement?

The case was opened by the seller to confirm the movement type and serial number which were matched with the official Longines records. I did get a photo for my records.

Nice one, Tony. I have several watches from this era - different makers. One of my pre-glass obsessions. I haven't bought a wristwatch in several years - the last one I got was an Omega Max Bill 87 limited edition (450 of 999) in 18K white with a solid black face.

Thank you everyone. I have a few (too many?) nice timepieces Warren but this is my oldest.
