My grandmother used this used this stove and my father ended up with it and gave it to me approximately 30 years ago. It still works but I do not use it because where I am living we do not have natural gas. I love it and it is always a conversation piece when people see it.

I love the stove but I have a question. What is the unsolved mystery you are trying to figure out? You explained your family attachment but not what you are trying to research in the unsolved mystery forum.

Sorry about that, I was wondering if the year was actually 1936 for this stove.

Interesting that you have a stove in this condition but no data plate. Reproductions normally don't have a data plate. Have you looked it over?

I have the same exact stove, with the exception that the oven is on the right and the burners are on the left. I love this stove for it's primitive beauty. I wanted to hook it up to use it, but my husband was afraid I'd blow the house up. I bought it at a yard sales 30 years ago for $85.
