I found this pin a while ago. It might be pot metal. I like the hammered finish on the back. There are no marks on the back. Any Ideas?

    Thanks for looking:)

Hmm maybe its late sixties early seventies...I posted a pair of earrings that reminded me of your brooch. I dont think your brooch is from the same company as my earrings, but it has the same style.

      1970s is definitely a possibility.

Thanks for your comment, Newtimes. I still think that the metal is different from anything that was used in the last few decades. I just started collecting a short while ago and have a lot to learn. For that reason, I truly appreciate your comments:)

freiheit I may have to agree with davyd286 on this one look at the lengh of the pin coming out of the clasp not long at all now look at your older ones & you may see what I meant on other post it's the length there the longer the older I am led to beleive. I think it's neat. Hope you are keeping well.

You got a point, Zowie; I read about that too. So maybe it's a more recent piece after all. In any case, I like the mystery. One of the reasons I started collecting is trying to learn about the items' origin and past. It really keeps me entertained.
Well, this pin is doing it for me:)

I feel exactly the same way we must do something to keep learning & the brain working, still have amber pieces thinking of getting rid of that depends.
    12. freiheit freiheit, 11 years ago
Absolutely correct, Zowie! Without a little challenge here and there life would be too boring:) Good luck finding out about your amber pieces!

In some ways i have done that but the brooch has markings so will have to get out & clean to try & read markings.

It might be wise to look at some Fisher bar pins from the 1920s, this one looks like some of theirs
    15. freiheit freiheit, 11 years ago
Kaye46, thank you for your tip. I tried to Google Fisher but didn't find anything yet. Someone pointed me in another direction and the style was definitely the same - but the metal finish was not. So I will keep searching and hope that your lead turns out to be the right one:)
