"The Red Barrel is a monthly publication issued by the Coca-Cola Company to develop and promote a higher coordination of all the forces which make "Coca-Cola" an institution."
So it states on the Table of Contents page of this Sept. 1944 issue, which I purchased BIN for $20. Condition seems good and it included an original, unaddressed mailing envelope. I thought I should have one to display near my Coca-Cola syrup red barrel.
As I am employed by a manufacturer of single-use foodservice products, I was pleased to see an article on the possible uses of a then relatively new and plentiful material stream: Plastics
Some 70 years later we are working hard to recycle and find alternatives to plastics, which are mostly derived from crude oil processing. Current best alternative? Paper of course.
The more things change, the more they stay the same.
