This is a vintage Chiswell display cabinet (Made in Australia) from the 1960s I believe. There was a vintage furniture shop in a Victorian terrace house in Sydney that was going out of business, there were pieces piled against one another and everything was kinda messy. So I walked in and see the glass case and thought it was a book case or something and that it was $60, I couldn't even open it to check because there was something else pushed up against it. I told the seller I wanted it and he told me there was another section which the glass portion fits into above. I was surprised but said ok that's fine too. So finally when it arrived in my flat down the road and we fit it together and checked the inside, we saw the maker's label inside and was thrilled that I scored a Chiswell - and for $60 only!! It was in great condition and survived the move to Singapore almost 100% intact (except one of the doors is a wee bit misaligned now but only a tad) and fitted into the space between built-in fittings and furniture in the flat we later bought, as though it was meant to be!
