I have been trying to gather information on this pocket compass for some time. Would like to know how old it is and who made it and any other history that pertains to this compass. Thanks !

Unusual in that it is not maker marked. Most of these that I have seen before are marked on the face.

This type of pocket compass was popular from the late 19th century through about the middle of the 20th century.

The case looks a lot like a US Army Air Corps pocket compass of WW2 (the issue ones are maker and US marked).

Thanks for your comments. There are no markings whats so ever on the entire compass. The only thing that shows on the compass is "Made in England" Thanks for letting me know what era it was produced
