    I like old mercury glass so I bought this without any idea what it might be. I'm hoping someone here either recognizes it or offers something I'd not considered.

      That's what the inside lining for thermoses looks like - see here as an example: http://www.ruifengco.com/China-Glass-liners-for-thermos-flask-0-15-3-2L-capacity-_p93.html

      They're lovely, and a friend of mine had a collection of these displayed without the thermoses as a kind of glass-artwork.

      I wouldn't mind seeing the clown sculpture that's reflecting in the middle pic. Looks like an Emmet Kelly Jr. figurine maybe?

      I was about to say... I think *I'm* the clown sculpture but then I saw to what you're referring. I think it's the teak wine rack, oddly enough. It looks crazy from that perspective.
