Bought this from an estate sale for $5. I don't know why I bought it, other than I liked the shape and condition. After researching a bit, here is what I found out:
Circa 1940s kitchen scales which weigh up to 26 pounds. The lever at the front bottom moves for pounds while the two slides at the top adjust for ounces. Easily readjusted by placing the scales on a flat surface, slides the weights to zero and using the knob on the right hand side to re-balance the bar. Marked Anita across the front, and EKS made in Sweden on the balance bar.
