    I just got this one in. I bought it from a seller in Finland and it seemed like forever to get it (about 2 1/2 weeks). I don't know how this USN photo ended up over there.

    It was well worth the wait.

    The Chief Petty Officer (CPO) is wearing a Sampson Medal with 6 engagement bars. I am not 100% certain but the ship name appears to be the USS Iowa. I haven't researched yet but would think that the 6 engagements will help to narrow the possible ships.

    The photograph was taken in Newport, R.I. and dates from about 1900- 1910.
