This water cooler was a complete fluke to find. Not even advertised on the auction bill. It was purchased in an auction at Perry, Iowa for $100. I can only find one other double-handled water cooler out there on the net, and it's a Red Wing 10 gallon. The family shared that their grandfather had used the crock for drinking water in Minnesota when threshing wheat in the early 1900's. He also used it for water on the farm afterwards. The Red Wing people said it is not one of theirs, and they could not even guess on an origin. Does anyone have any idea where this came from, or what it might be worth? The owner of the other Red Wing jug has theirs up for $18,500. It is a pristine crock except for a small chip on the underside of the left front. Can't be seen when upright. Otherwise, the jug is beautiful. Not a flaw or mark on it, and the finish/coloration is a cream color with a little brown sugar mixed in. Really stunning in person. Looking forward to some answers.
