Hi - Curious about this old stove that used to be in my grandparents home in Denmark. I remember it vividly standing in the corner of the room and was used to heat the room. This was back in the '70s. I know it was purchased in Denmark but it seems to have its origins in Germany.
Only markings I can find are:
    Musterschutz
    DRGM 162391 (Deutsches Reichsgebrauchsmuster)

I know both marking are references to patents in Germany ranging from 1890-1948.

I have seen this type of stove referenced as an Irish Stove and Coal/Oak Parlor Stove.

Your in put is much appreciated,
    Thomas

Those are not patent numbers they are registration numbers which were good for three years only (called a poor man's patent) but none the less only a registration number. Numbers prior to 1934 were lost so there aren't records of them. From what I was able to find for you numbers below 192xxx are non existent in the records.

...got the following information from the German Patent and Trade Mark Office in Berlin.
      - Found the DRGM 162 391 in the old register.
      - Flensburger Eisenwerk (Formally Reinhardt & Meßner ) applied for patent/registration on September 10th 1901 which lapsed after 6 years
      - Google translation from German to English of patent description - Under the ashtray mounted shifter circuit for regulating the air entering in Dauerbrandtöfen in its rotation, the slides are moved to the extractor and the direct deduction at the same time.
