Can anyone tell me a bit about this spoon by its markings? It is 2 1/2 inches long. It is Sterling silver. I'm interested in learning a possible date and maker of the spoon.

I am trying to see the marks. One looks like the Uncrowned Leopard's Head. That mark has been used since 1822 but it is still used. That mark puts us in London England. Top mark in picture #3 is the purity mark for sterling .925 as far as I can tell. The maker mark is to blurred to be sure looks like TD but I can't read it. I am still working on the date mark.

I thought the maker mark looked like B&T LTD

The London date chart says this was made in 1923. The lower mark h is the date. So it was made in London in 1923 and is .925 sterling. Maker unknown due to the blur. Hope this helps.

uncrowned leopards head, stating it is uncrowned makes a difference of about 200 years.
There are no B&T makers marks listed in London in the international database of marks I use.

Left to right are : maker mark, h=date made, uncrowned leopards head=London, Lion=purity of sterling

Give me a few minutes I think I may have located the maker in another database.

      Thank you fhrjr2.
I wish these items could talk about their journey. I bought this in Fresno CA. for $5. How many little mouths were fed by this tiny spoon!
