The LAVA series was quite an experimental one and Lütken developed a series of different colours for it: red, brown, gray, blue, white... and even a couple different finishings.

The item I am showing you today is a very thick walled bowl (well, not exactly... in fact the walls are virtually inexistant... it all consists of a massive base :) ). It stands 4,2 cm. tall and its diameter is 16,3. And it's a heavy piece of glass: 1560 gr. It is signed on the base: HOLMEGAARD PL 620535.

This is the first blue LAVA I ever got and I was so excited about it! I simply couldn't believe I had got one of these so rare items!. After this one two more vases in the same blue have been added to it, but the finishing of the three is different... one could hardly say they elong to the same series.

By the way, amongst blue and red/brown LAVAs I've already got 10 of them!

I saw a gourd-shaped blue Lava vase in my favorite 'used stuff' store - I don't really come across them very often!

If you're interested I could ask much they want for it...? (If it's still there, of couse...). I have no idea what you find a reasonable price...

well... I'm unemployed and have a more than tight budget, so the cheaper the better ;)
