I love this stuff, too. Sorry I can't really help you about the bird, or whether #4 is turquoise. They are really sneaky about making fake turquoise and passing it off as new, these days. They have gotten really good at making it look real! If it is white and dyed blue, it's probably a mineral called howlite. Howlite is getting scarcer, and soon it may end up as valuable as turquoise, and then they won't do that anymore! Ha! The shape of #4 looks right for turquoise, and I have seen some with white places. Hard to tell! Sometimes they use plastic, and you can use a heated pin to see if it melts.
