What a surprise to find out that the brooch that I had bought, as I thought was made of Vulcanite but in my opinion it is one of the so-called Silesian Iron jewelry. Diameter approx. 4.5 cm Weight: 10 gr.
A big surprise, it meets to any requirements.
To begin with: it's

1. magnetic, so of iron
2. black lackered
3. feels cold
4. light in weight,
5. components of the brooch are not welded but sit with rings together .
6. The stem is extremely long and the brooch has a c-clasp .
7. Also the c-clasp and hinge are fixed by means of rings.

All the above mentioned factors indicate at least on a very old piece and almost certainly share in the iron berlin jewelry.
Which of you can tell me more? I'm very curious to hear your answer !!

valentino97 thanks for your thoughtful and passionate reaction. Such a successful deal is almost more fun than acquiring beautiful antique business. Well I owe this purchase and my acquired over the years knowledge of antique jewelry. So always keep good for all collectors to study on that old items.
