I still have my tie clip collection and still love them. Always wear one with a tie. I love number 1-4

Here is a little info from Wikipedia on the airplane in picture 1.

The Douglas DC-3 is a fixed-wing propeller-driven airliner. Its speed and range revolutionized air transport in the 1930s and 1940s. Its lasting impact on the airline industry and World War II makes it one of the most significant transport aircraft ever made.
The major military version was designated the C-47 Skytrain, of which more than 10,000 were produced.
Many DC-3s and converted C-47s are still used in all parts of the world.

Thanks Bootson for the additional info.

Phil, thank you also for the comments... I was thinking you might like number 4. It's got an Art Deco feel to it...

Thank you Moon Jr. and Antiques-in-NJ

Hi, Dr. F...I esp. like the one with the DC-3 featured on it. I have one of similar design by Swank with the Skylon and Perisphere of The 1939 New York World's Fair as its theme.

I also have one similar to the Greyhound tie bar that you've acquired. Mine features a riding crop with a racing horse head superimposed over a horseshoe, and like yours, the clasp seems to "pierce" a tie.

    Thanks for posting.

Yes, Dr. F...I should get photos of some of these items soon...I think that you would find them interesting at the least!

You can view my World's Fair Tie clasp under advertising>World's Fair Memorabilia...It is entitled 1939 New York World's Fair Tie Clasp.

I will post the other items when i get them photographed...hopefully, it won't be too long!

    Have a fine day!!!!!
