    Castor set were a common table item in the 1800s and early 1900s. You could even see them on tables in movies and some TV shows of the 1900s.
    Most of them were housed in silverplate holder and revolved for easy access. Some like the far right example did not revolve. Most that are seen are in clear glass but there are examples of colored and decorated glass. They are much harder to find and some are very rare.
    There are known repros out there in a Inverted Thunbprint so dont be fooled.
    In my opinion, I would consider the blue etched example is the most rare in the examples pictured.
