Large (over 12") spherical double-overlay cut glass vase. Each element is hand cut on a body comprised of a deep cobalt blue exterior layer cased over a bright yellow middle layer cased over a lighter yellow / vaseline internal layer. Star-cut base shows wear. Does NOT glow under a black light.

My initial guess was Bohemian / Czech in origin, but otherwise not marked. Looking for help identifying this beauty.

You know I see Tango here too! That yellow is just so vivid. Selenium? Just a great piece.

Thanks Sean68 and vetraio50. I love it too. I was mesmerized by it the moment I saw it. Someone spent a lot of time hand grinding / polishing all those cuts.

I love the 1000 eye optic look of the back side as seen through the cuts in the front. Very nice piece that I personally can't stop looking at. Great find!

Although I've never been a huge fan of Bohemian cut glass -it was soooo badly used in cheesy items- I have to say I love this. There's an air of modernity about this I do love. I mean... I wouldn't mind to have just like this in my collection LOL

AH, I know what you mean. This one "spoke" to me when I first saw it as well.
