Not even sure the proper name for this "scooter" Ratcheting pump action propels the three wheeled scooter. Wheel style and fasteners make me think this item is early 1930ish- based on my very uneducated guess. No identifying markings on metal or wood parts.

Found in a attic while helping a friend clean out. Items in the attic ranged from late 1800's to 1970's. So that's about the time frame I have for the scooter :)

I added a photo that I hope shows the drive mechanism. The "pedals" move idependently. Each wheel has a rachet mechanism to prevent it from moving in reverse when being pedalled.

Could you add a photo of the drive mechanism?

Looked through patents, but could not find this particular drive mechanism. It's probably one of the simpler designs, less parts & looks easy to operate.
Most of these are listed in the patents as a treadle scooter.
I hope you plan on keeping it!
