This lovely vase was a $2 purchase yesterday. It is lovely quality glass but I have no idea where glass is involved.Art deco, Italian? pressed would be a guess.
    Any ideas?

It's molded glass and of fairly recent manufacture, I would think. RER(BOB)

      Hi Attwood.
I'm new to glass collecting but have learnt to look for seams, vertical or horizontal.
And if its thick and heavy usually means its pressed.
      This looks moulded to me.
I love its design, i posted one earlier today, probably from around the same era.

It is very heavy.I will try and get better pic of base.It came from a deceased estate.

      Hi Attwood,
      Thanks for the love.
The trouble is knowing how something's made doesn't always help much in dating it.
Have you tried cropping your photos?
Mine used to come out sideways & cropping them worked.

I have changed pics.I hope these are better. It has no seams.I hope this helps.
      Thanks rose

I just weighed it.It weighs in at 1.8 kg. or about 4lbs.

If there's no seams, could it have been poured into a mold?
      Its lovely whatever.
I like the unusual octagonal base.
It looks like it could date to early 20th century to me. But would love to know if you ever find out.
      Good luck.
