Northwood's Cactus pattern is a very popular pattern to collect. It comes in many colors, I have 10 different colors as it is and there are a few more! I wanted to show an example of a cased glass piece (far left) the next one is a clear color piece, the next is a much rarer cranberry opalescent, and last (far right) is a rare vaseline opalescent piece.
The interesting thing about the vaseline one is that I purchased it from a bottle collector. It was found after digging up a street in Jersey City, NJ due to a water main break. When the street was opened, a large amount of old bottles were discovered and this was there too!
Such a rare piece, and it survived for dacades under a city street.
Due to being buried all that time, the piece has become iridized so its a one of a kind piece that I think is so cool!

Thanks, back in those days it was not unusual to use garbage like that of the day as filler. So,its not unusual to find stuff like that, that does not break down over time.
