Got this chinese porcelain wall plaque at the thrift store for $10
very thick and heavy!
Does anybody know more about these kind of tiles/plaques?

    Hi, without any marking I think this could go either way, Chinese or Japanese.
    But I lean toward Japanese based on the crysanthemums in the the upper left and lower right corners. This flower is a traditional Japanese symbol. Regards, Jim

    Hi Skip, really guessing here, pre WWII, maybe much earlier, not made for export.

    I am not an expert, but I will offer some opinions.
    I think the tile originates from Delft Holland (Netherlands). It is a European view of how China would have looked.
    My best guess is that it dates from the 1700 -1800s.
    I have never seen a tiles with this edge shape before, usually they are just square.
    The wire on the back for hanging on a wall indicates that someone really valued this item.
    I would suggest that you take this to an auction house that deals with fine antiques. You might find that it is valuable.
