This is an all wooden tricycle that my dad had given to him in 1940. He said they were on a drive and their car was overheating so they stopped at a farm to get some water for their radiator. The man who helped them was about 70 years old at the time and asked my grandparent's if they wanted these two tricycles for the boys that he had in his barn. We are thinking this is from around 1870, most everything is original from when my dad received it, except the bar going across the back to keep the wheels together. My uncle recently put a rod across so he could put the tricycle together to display in my mom's house. We'd love to know more about this, who made them back then, and what it's possible value is. She has no interest in selling it, we just want to know more about it because my dad always knew it would be worth holding onto all of his life.
