Goldscheider "Our lady of Fatima" 13" tall PLEASE HELP......There are lots of comparable looking pieces on different sites. I have not been able to find the exact same one. There are some factory stamps and writing with what looks like silver grease pencil. Is this a rare piece? age? artist? There is crazing in a few spots and it looks very old to me.I'm Catholic so this has a lot of meaning to me. If its super rare I'm not sure if I could keep such a thing if it belongs in a museum or something like that. Its really a beautiful figure. 13 inches tall and 4 1/2 at base There is a small robins egg blue star near the bottom of her gown.

Thanks for any info.

Best regards,

Brian O'Keeffe

A GOLDSCHEIDER GLAZED PORCELAIN MADONNA, Our Lady of Fatima, American the mocha colored Mother of Christ wearing a long robe, hand decorated with gold with rosary and blue star and collar, 12.75 in. ht. Marked with Goldscheider Inc. with trademark, height probably varied with firings. More than 9,000 different models were created over a period of three generations. Since the very beginning many of these won first prizes and gold medals at innumerable world fairs, exhibitions and trade fairs. Goldscheider figures are nowadays very much sought after by collectors world-wide. Saw one recently go for 90 dollars by auction.
