    Hello Again,
I bought this at the GW yesterday. It was covered by a yellowy film, as greasy as could be, but I loved the shape and instantly recognized that it was of a very fine quality.
The mark on the bottom is hand engraved, a P within a diamond. Since I live in Pairpoint country, I thought it must be that.
It has a nice weight, a handsomely shaped bottom, gorgeous clarity, a beautifully executed border, and stands approximately 5" high.
Do you think it is Pairpoint? and what would you call the shape?, also, about how old do you suppose it is?
    Sorry for all the questions,
and Thanks for taking a peek,
    Tony.

This is nice but it is not Pairpoint. It is a fake signature to make one believe it is Pairpoint and makes total sense you said you live in Pairpoint country. This link will will take you to the Mt. Washington/Pairpoint website. A photo of the real mark is in their header photo. http://www.mwpgs.org/

Hello Mark, thanks for the note, it was very helpful.
You inspired me to go to the Pairpoint glass shop ( just this morning ) to question them about the mark. They said that it was their signature and that many of their pieces are signed this way,( pieces made for museum shops, & others as well ).
I thought this information would be good to pass on to all of the wonderful people here on CW. Thanks for your part in it,
      best regards,
      Tony.
