This vase is from The Jones Museum of Glass and Ceramics located in Maine which is now closed. I acquired the vase a few years ago when the Dorothy Lee Jones collection was offered at auction.

Blown of satin cased glass. Interior is opaque white. Exterior is blue with silver mica inclusions in a Herringbone pattern covered with another layer of colorless satin glass. There are two applied crystal satin thorn handles to complete this curvilinear shaped vase. Rim is cut and there is no pontil on the base.

7" tall with a 2" diameter rim.

(fig.4) NEAGC, is presumed it would stand for the New England American Glass Company. Not sure how true the acronym on the sticker label is and always thought it could be Bohemian. Any information is always appreciated.

Wow so pretty Leah ! I really love all art glass ,but I've never seen anything as exceptional as the pieces here on CW in my thrifting travels. I guess they are employing smarter people and using the internet so that they never make it to the sales floor even if they do show up. Auctions and Estate sales seem to be the best places to find them, but that's a little out of my league.

Thanks, Mike. I really appreciate the compliment with love. The internet is a lot easier to find what a collector is specifically after. Anything "brick and mortar" is where the real treasure hunt can be a challenge. It's all about what meets the eye. The more you learn, it does get easier. :)

For me the internet is probably not the best thing. I seem to be going broke and getting fat sitting on my duff scouring the internet for the best deals. LOL!!! I love this vase. All of you with your beautiful art glass have now got me seeking some for myself. I have picked up a few pieces and as soon as my camera gets fixed I will post some too. Beautiful collection Leah, love looking at them all. Thanks for sharing your treasures and your expertise.

Some very interesting and pretty glass here, but I might still be tempted to use for target practice to bring back boyhood memories of target practice in the old quarry glass dump!,sorry, lol
