I have been trying to research the set of books that I own.
They were written by the Rev. Alban Butler.
The books were published by a Pertr F. Collier.
The full title on the inside is, "The Lives of The Fathers, Martyrs, and other principal Saints."
I have found other such books on line but they are 4 volume sets or paper backs.
Can someone give me some insight as to some history about this set?

This lists at least two sets of the "two volume" edition.
