    I love canning. My mother taught me, and those are some of the fondest memories I have ever made with my mother. Along with making sugar cookies with her. So much fun!! Really miss times like those.
    I probably paid too much, but I really wanted them.

      I have the same ball and holder...love the old jars...used to enjoy canning also...and the memories of mom and grandma canning up a storm

      Thank you for the love and the kind words. Oddly enough even though my father's mother was from Hazard, Kentucky she didn't do any canning. Neither did my other grandmother. My mom picked it up from her second husband's family. They're from West Virginia. I love it. Now I have a Lieutenant in the fire dept. who wants me to teach him how to can :^)
