Part of my late uncles estate he grew up in Ohio and from what I can gather Olson electronics was a great mom and pop electronics store in the Midwest. I think that they ended up making a few amplifiers and other radio shack type products later in their history and eventually was bought out by another supplier. I do not know much about this particular kit maybe somebody has some memories or experiences with Olson or this kit?
