This trunk has been handed down to me from my mother. We don't know the history of the trunk but it has been in the family since original purchase. Can anyone give me some information on it? The lock is a Corbin.

At one time the New Britian and Terryville region of CT was one of the largest lock manufactorers in the country. Terryville is home to the Lock Museum of America and worth the trip . Your trunk is a mid line, flat top that would be a fun product to fix up. I believe the end caps of the handles to be stamped metal which puts the age about 1900 or so.
