I am hoping someone can help me identify this mystery watch I found. It appears to be an Ingersoll watch from the 1940s, featuring Danny the black lamb who appeared in the Disney film "So Dear To My Heart" (released in 1949).

Unfortunately, I cannot find any information about this watch in any of the price guides. Nor could I find any examples of it online. I checked eBay and other auction sites. A Google search turned up nothing.

Has anyone ever seen this particular watch before? Is it really rare? (or am I just really bad at using Google?) Thanks for your help on this one.

This watch is part of a series of 4 watches, snow white, Louie duck and little pig. The rares of the 2 are Louie and black lamb! I have posted the little pig here :http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/58403-three-little-pigs-fairy-tale-timepieces . It is the first watch far left in the 1st photo. Someone on CW has posted the Louie but i cannot remember who! You have a very nice example here and thank you for sharing.

I just checked and unfortunately, the Louie post has since been deleted. This series was released in 1947. Hope this information helps.

Very nice and George has say all. I believe George has the snow white posted also in among his posting.

Very nice clean example of a rare watch. If you ever want to sell it, or the Donald, let me know! I'll post a group shot of the 4 as soon as I have time to dig them out. Thanks for another great posting!
