    I found this at a garage sale.It has corning glass works patent USA 10-10-05
    on it.I was wondering if it actually a stop light of a motor car made into an ashtray?
    Any ideas?

      Rose in is a glass lens from either a stop lamp of signal lamp of some sorts. What is the diameter?

      I'm leaning towards a Rail road lamp lens

      thanks Sean. I found another piece of red glass like this and when I researched it found it was an old tailight for a VW car...lol.sold it on ebay for about $50 for someone needing to replace one.I just love the light in on the glass
