This old chair weighs a ton..but I love the high arms (you can put ALL your stuff on)...I'm guessing 40's? Anybody else have any info-- I'd appreciate it...

No idea, but it looks extremely comfortable.

MUSH? lol... I'd call it muted orange--but agree that it has been reupholstered.

I have the same exact chair. My dad got it in the late 60s or early 70s.It was pink but through the years turned black.I can remember every morning when us kids got up dad was sitting in the chair. Dads favorite chair with a cup coffee in one hand and lucky strike smoking awsy in the other. For as far back as I could remember he had the chair. After dad past I retrived it out of the old cabin he had taken it to. By that time it was a mess had mice in it and was almost totally black. But I looked it over and the frame was still in tacked. So took it and had it reupholstered by a furniture maker. Every one calls it the ugly chair even reupholstered in Microsoft brown materials. Its still the ugly chair. I call it the reading chair. Thats where us kids would curl up and read every chance we could. When dad wasn't home that is.The chair very sentimental to me. Out of all us kids I was the only one that at the time wanted it and had it reupholstered. Now my brothers and one sister wants it. They can decide who gets it after I pass.:) hope you enjoy
Your chair. I was hoping to fibd more info like where and who made these chairs?
