I have started obsessing over chalkware I cant get enough of it, I dont know if its the kitchy look or the fact that I find them cheep! I see on Ebay some of the prices are a little high or maybe I have just been lucky with the prices I have paid. These are just a couple of the pieces I have. The bird in the middle has 2 others with it I also have some silly cats and a couple of plaques. Values are not much but they make me smile when ever I walk in the room.

Gosh , I remember a family friend having these in her bathroom, sooo cool to see them again. Thank you for sharing !
My youngest brother made a set like the two blue fish with the bubbles at ceramic class when he was still at home . He made them for our mother . All but one fish got lost or broken . I gave him the one fish back after mom passed away .
I have a pair of plaques with victorian ladies on them that are signed and dated 1933. Those are the only ones that are not made by Miller studios. I think they are the oldest I have as well the rest are from the 60's & 70's. I finally cleared about 20 hours of tivo last night and was watching American Pickers with those incredible uncle Sam & soldier, want them need them gotta find my own. Happy hunting!
I love chalkware. I remember years ago when we had a store they weren't worth anything. Now there is a craze for this stuff, and rightly so. It has such character.
