I think my favorite items are from the art deco period, they were very creative in making amazing jewelry with inexpensive materials. Also they were excellent copiers. If Lalique made a fabulous necklace out of diamonds and platinum, they would copy it and use sterling, rock crystal, for a pittance in comparison. This necklace reminded me of some Cartier pieces I saw in a book. It is made out of sterling silver, crystal, marcasites, and small sapphire colored glass, with black enameling. The last photo shows a Cartier pin and its black enameling and my pendant. The pendant is about 1 3/4 " long.
