    Hi there im looking to find out if this piece is original to period or some sort of replica. Its an Indian Head Coin bank dated 1907 United states of america and I cant seem to ID it. The top cover piece is very heavy compared to the bottom half. The indian head shows more detail than you likely see in the photo. Just dont know whats its made of and the period. I was hoping someone might know there isnt any markings. The bank is about 3 in tall .

      I think what you have is a promo item that was offered free by a bank when you started a savings account. They were really popular around the war years and for a bit after. I have and had different ones. My favorite which I still have is the Liberty Bell bank. I had one of the free Bubble Banks that was mint condition and it went for $800 on eBay. This isn't in that category but it does deserve research. Penny banks can turn pennies into dollars if you have the right one.
